ROLUL REGIUNILOR IN CONSTRUCTIA EUROPEANA. STUDIU DE CAZ ASUPRA REGIONALISMULUI DIN ROMANIA
One of the most significant political acts in the 1990’s Romania is the creation of the development regions on the legislative basis of Law no 151/1998. These development regions have been set up in view of Romania’s planned accession to the European Union. These territorial entities has not political-administrative autonomy, they are empowered to take decisions in the field of economic development. The study below, demonstrated that the regional institutional structures has not the necessary sphere of authority and budget to accomplish the regional policies, which is made mainly by the central Government. The regional programming was not made in close connection with the Government Program and the State Budget orientations. Actually, there are no real regions and real regionalization (in the sense of the provisions of the European Charter of Regional Self-Government) in Romania.
